Anya Belkina

Anya Belkina received her MFA from UC San Diego and her BFA from RISD. From 2000 to 2007, she held the position of Assistant Professor in the Practice of Art at Duke University. She joined Emerson College in 2007, where she now serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Visual and Media Arts and Assistant Director of the Global BFA Program. Belkina’s paintings are held in private and corporate collections throughout the US. Her work in the area of new media has been presented nationally and abroad at conventional exhibition venues as well as in the form of large-scale site-specific installations, video projections, and broadcasted media. Belkina’s award-winning animated shorts have screened at numerous national and international venues, including SIGGRAPH, ANIMATOR, RIIFF, The Light Factory Museum in Charlotte, NC, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
