Kat Masella’s is a contemporary artist. “Venturing into the unknown keeps me ever present and engaged. My process involves an adventure into the subconscious without a predetermined destination. The work begins with passionate marks but later I slow down and analyze whether the pieces work on their own right while serving to provoke thoughtful contemplation. I aim for creating a sense of mystery and ambiguity by obscuring details with layers of paint and texture.”
