The Estate of Rob Reeps (shown by Karen Clepper)

1951–2013

Rob graduated from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia.  Shortly after, he created a painting series inspired by the  Pennsylvania Turnpike rest areas. “Bowman 4” completed  in 1973, is one of those paintings.

Rob and his wife Karen relocated to the Boston area  in 1984. Rob was a long time member of the Bromfield  Gallery on South Street in Boston. In 1995, Rob became  one of the founding members of the Artist Building at  300 Summer Co-op in Fort Point. There he painted many  bodies of work including his “Oceans & Cosmos” series  which were featured in a one person show in 1998, at the  Beth Urdang Gallery on Newbury Street. He lived and  worked in Boston until his death in 2013.
